On basis of our common experiences and example’s from practice the following questions will be presented and discussed:
What does CO2-management or Carbon Management mean? What is the relation with CSR and a Sustainability strategy? What’s the difference between environmental-, ecological- and carbon footprinting? What kind of organizations manage their carbon emissions and why? How can a company profit from CO2-management (e.g. CSR – GRI – CDP, etc.). What kind of reduction options are possible and deliver profit?
At the end of the workshop BECO Hungary Kft. will offer a FREE OF CHARGE Organizational Carbon Footprint for the participant contribution most actively to the workshop.

Background
Climate Change is an increasingly important issue for the international corporate community. It presents risks and opportunities to organizations, their investors, and their stakeholders. Although the causes are many and the extend of our influence has yet to be determined, there is no doubt that CO2-emissions as a result of human fossil fuel consumption contributes to the problem. And we can influence this, and we should. For more reasons than one!
More and more companies and governmental agencies are calculating,

managing and reducing their carbon emissions. They do so for all sorts of reasons, both moral (for the greater good) and economic (cutting costs, reducing risks). In doing so they become increasingly aware of the achievements of potential suppliers / contractors and costumers in the field of carbon management. Suppliers and contractors are challenged to disclose their carbon emissions and climate change strategies; for instance by joining the Carbon Disclosure Project, or because they follow GRI guidelines (CSR) when drawing up a sustainability report.
The important question is how to meet this challenge and gain insight and control of your carbon emissions!
